We are honored that our local is named after one of the most influential APWU National Presidents in History!
William H Burrus began his postal career here in Cleveland, Ohio. He would go on to be our Local President and a founder of the APWU National Presidents Conference which he also served as president.
Ebony Magazine named him on several occasions the 100 Most Influential Black Americans. He was known as a fierce union advocate and negotiator who has influenced many in the fight for workers' rights.
